CAST IMPORT GUIDE

Marquee & Me can prepare cast and creative credits from an official source. You stay in control: review the people and roles before anything is added, then save the show to keep them.

Review a public cast page

  1. Sign in to Marquee & Me and open the show you want to update, or choose ＋ Add a show.
  2. Under Cast & creative, open Import cast from a source.
  3. Paste a public HTTPS cast page into Official source URL. Text and HTML pages work best; The Outsiders Broadway and tour pages have production-specific parsing.
  4. Choose Review cast. Marquee & Me reads clear name-and-role evidence and shows a list of candidates.
  5. Uncheck anyone you do not want, and correct names or roles as needed.
  6. Choose Add selected to show. This only moves the selected credits into the show editor.
  7. Choose Save show to keep the credits in your journal.

Import from another source

If direct URL review is not supported, copy the visible cast section—or its page HTML—from a reliable source and paste it into Cast page text or HTML. Marquee & Me looks only for clear name-and-role evidence and shows every result for editing before it reaches your draft. For plain text, use one person per line:

Jordan Smith — Ponyboy Curtis
Alex Rivera — Director

You may also paste the source URL so the saved credits retain a reference. Choose Review cast, check the results, add the selected people, and save the show.

You can also choose a PDF or image from the show editor. Selectable PDF text is extracted locally in your browser, then placed in the editable text box for the same review flow. JPEG, PNG, and WebP files receive a local preview, but image OCR is not enabled yet; type or paste the cast list instead. The original file is not uploaded or saved.

Scanned PDFs, image-only PDFs, blocked pages, and JavaScript-only pages do not produce cast candidates. Marquee & Me does not claim to read every source and will ask for clearer text instead of guessing names.

What gets saved?

Reviewing a page does not change your journal. Add selected to show places credits in the unsaved editor, and only Save show stores them in your account. Imported names are marked as a production roster until you confirm they appeared at your performance.
